Diet Aide Position Statement : Supports the department based on required safety and sanitation needs. Also, supports the department based on production requirements. Maintains clean work area and environment, able to work well with others. This position may have direct patient contact.
Key Responsibilities: (this should contain no more than 10 bullets)
- Delivery of patient trays. Pick up of trays from the floors.
- Take patients food orders based on diets.
- Keeping up with work requirements, pots, trays, and kitchen safety and sanitation.
- Serve food in the cafeteria, keep cafeteria fully stocked for customers.
- Support keeping kitchen and any nutritional service area clean and stocked properly.
- Complete required check list.
- Complete required training for department, both hospital and Morrison training that supports Federal and State standards and practices.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Good communication skills both departmentally and across NCH departments.
- North Country Hospital, and Morrison training and certificates.
- High school equivalent, five years kitchen experience or equivalent.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds.
Cook Position Statement : Prepare high quality food for catering, cafeteria, and patient diets. Maintain high safety and sanitation standards for the department. Help and teach others food quality, standards, and preparation as needed and required.
Key Responsibilities: (this should contain no more than 10 bullets)
- Set up kitchen for production.
- Prepare foods for cafeteria, catering functions.
- Prepare food for special patient's diets based on ADA requirements.
- Work with others to help support production requirements. Work with others and train them for your support in production, as well as safety and sanitation requirements.
- Review Menus, help ensure food is pulled for future production requirements.
- Always have work environment prepared for inspections.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Good communication skills both departmentally and across NCH departments.
- Servsafe, North Country Hospital, and Morrison training and certificates.
- High school equivalent, five years kitchen experience or equivalent.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds.
