Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns is Southern California's only standalone women's hospital. SMB is part of Sharp HealthCare, is a 206 bed, not for profit hospital delivering more babies than any other hospital in California.
Position Details:
- SRSMG is seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife to work 3 12-hour shifts/week (considered full-time) for both day and night coverage
- Full specialty back-up including 24-hour perinatal and GYN/ONC services with dedicated OB anesthesia
- Responsible for L&D, triage, postpartum
- On-Call OBGYNs and OB Hospitalists are always available
- On-site overnight room for provider
- Hospital delivers ~9,000 babies per year, highest volume in the state of California!
- Group delivers ~4,000 babies per year
- Excellent L&D Nursing Staff
- Southern California's largest Level III NICU, plus advanced care for women experiencing high-risk pregnancy
Requirements:
- Comfortable covering a busy L&D unit with at least 2 years of experience, 4+ preferred as a practicing midwife
- Hospital-based midwifery experience is required
- Must be board certified

Annual base salary range $165,000.00/year without First Assist Certification and $176,000.00/year with First Assist Certification. The posted annual salary is the annual base compensation only. The amount does not include productivity, bonuses or incentives. Compensation is subject to the individual department/division compensation plans.
