HME Service Technician
The HME Service Technician is responsible for delivery/pickup, set up, demonstration, and maintenance of oxygen and home medical equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Makes oxygen/equipment pickup/deliveries to patient's homes.
- Reports concerns or need for return visit appropriately.
- Performs maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repair of equipment in the home per protocols.
- Picks up equipment in need of repair for evaluation.
- Assists with inventory control of supplies and equipment.
- Demonstrates patient/caregiver use of oxygen/equipment per physician orders.
- Completes daily schedule/assignment sheet.
- Completes required documentation timely.
- Performs simple maintenance on vehicles as needed.
- Performs home safety assessment with equipment set-up.
- Assists in cleaning equipment according to established guidelines.
- Performs on-call duties during weekends and holidays.
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Experience:
Durable medical equipment experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Valid Kentucky Driver's License required.
