LEAD CT TECHNOLOGIST
The starting rate for this position is: $33.43

Position Summary: Responsibilities include: Operates radiographic equipment to perform x-rays. Operates CT equipment which produces cross sectional images that are used for diagnostic purposes. Ability to work with post processing to create 3D imaging. Ability to operate power injector for the delivery of contrast. Consistently obtain high quality imaging for Radiologist interpretation. General understanding of PACS (Picture Archive Communications System) and its function. Minimizes radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques-ALARA, shielding and knowledge of exposure factors. Documents patient care services in hospital records. Able to interact compassionately and effectively with the sick or injured. Supports and promotes the values and mission of the organization. Courteous interaction with co-workers/peers. Under the direction of the Director/Operations Manager, coordinates the daily operation workflow in CT. Trains new employees. Educates staff to new and updated protocols. Involved in annual performance review/evals. Acts as a resource person for customer service and problem solving. Reviews orders/schedules and communicates with Radiologist if not protocol driven. Maintains polices/procedures and protocols pertaining to CT. Involved in PI/QA when pertaining to CT. Maintains equipment and logs (annual physicist testing and preventative maintenance). Involved in the selection of new equipment. ACR data and submission.
Position Requirements
Education: Two year college (Associate's Degree)
Experience: 3-5 Years
Licensure(s): ARRT certified Radiography & State of Maine Radiography
Certification(s): ARRT CT certified preferred
Registration(s): ARRT Radiography
