MENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN - RESIDENTIAL
The Mental Health Technician (MHT) provides direct care, direction, and supervision to emotionally and/or behaviorally challenged children and adolescents. The MHT assists in the implementation of individualized treatment plans and focuses on an environment of safety and relationship building.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent is required. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Job Duties:
- Supervise daily routines and responsibilities of our clients and ensure performance of daily self-care tasks, assisting when necessary.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment, acting immediately to remove all dangers or threats to the welfare of our clients. Provide minor First Aid as necessary.
- Provide milieu management through the use of structured programming.
- Facilitate or co-facilitate daily programming activities, transitional meetings, and therapeutic groups.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of individualized treatment plans and schedules.
- Provide transportation, when necessary, to and from school, activities, off-campus appointments and visits, etc.
- Distribute medications as required, ensuring compliance with all medication procedures.
