MRI Technologist
As the MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies. Insures effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary. In some instances, it trains new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.
- Produces high quality diagnostic images.
- Orders supplies, cleans units, assists in preparing for transport on a daily basis.
- Effectively communicate with customers and/or radiologists.
- Trains new technologists and/or PCs.
EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
- ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT.
- State license, if applicable.
- CPR Certification
- Valid state driver's license, as applicable.
- Technologists registered in other modalities - 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience or currently enrolled for more than 6 months in an accredited MRI training program.
- MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT - No experience required.
- The ability to work at various locations.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Organizational and multitasking skills.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
Preferred:
- Associate's degree or Equivalent Experience
- Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
- 1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience.
