NURSE AIDE
Job Summary:
The Nurse Aide under the direct supervision of the RN/LPN is delegated assignments by the RN to achieve quality patient care. He/she is involved in the implementation phase of the nursing process and is organizationally accountable to the PCC Manager. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide technical care appropriate to the age of the patients served; also demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to collect data and relays appropriate data to nurse and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.
Performance Expectations:
- Properly uses and operates equipment assigned including but not limited to: Dinamapp, computer.
- Consistently respects and maintains patient confidentiality.
- Ensure appropriate communication and interaction with patient/families and visitors.
- Must tolerate physically demanding tasks of moving equipment and patients utilizing safety measures for both yourself and/or the patient.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Embraces and practices "We Care" philosophy in all aspects of patient, visitor, co-worker and non-employee care.
Qualifications:
Education/Skills
Diploma/GED preferred.
Work Experience:
Previous aide employment preferred with passage of nurse aide skills test preferred.
