Part Time Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant)
IVitamin is seeking a part time Provider at our South Congress location. The Provider promotes the health of patients through a combination of nursing and/or medical processes and administrative and consultative practices. The position coordinates the administration therapies according to prescriber order, and in accord with the medical personnel's scope of practice, the facility's policies & procedures, INS Standards of Practice, and approved facility protocols. This is an every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) role.

Our Infusion Hydration Lounges are boutique medical facilities located in downtown Austin and North Austin, designed for the health-conscious and wellness-driven. We offer a range of IV vitamin hydration therapies and regenerative IVs both in our lounges and through mobile services to clients' homes or offices. Our clients come to us looking to boost their energy, improve their health, and achieve balance through IV hydration therapy.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
1. Reviews client's medical history, performs physical assessment, orders appropriate therapies, screens for inappropriate candidates for IV infusion.
2. Educate patients about care and prescribed treatments
3. Prepare catheters, IV infusion devices or other essential tools necessary to ensure a smooth IV therapy treatment is achieved.
4. Evaluates client for peripheral vascular access. Selects appropriate peripheral IV catheter based on client's vasculature. Performs peripheral vascular access insertion according to standards of practice and IVitamin policy.
5. Evaluates the patient prior, during, and after the IV infusion therapy.
6. Administer ordered therapies according to prescriber order, facility protocols, INS standards, and company policies and procedures.
7. Work autonomously without direct supervision, successfully multitask.
8. Provide excellent customer service by using interpersonal communication skills to build relationships with patients during the course of patient care and education.
9. Contribute to the company through innovative thinking, teamwork, and cooperation.
10. Abide by company policies and procedures, INS Standards of Practice, OSHA guidelines, HIPAA Privacy Act. 11. Presents Membership and package options to patients
12. Recommends at home supplements to compliment their IV services
13. Interprets micronutrient test results and makes recommendations based on their levels.
14.Documents all patients in the Electronic Medical Record system.
15. Audits all charting of IV Specialists.
16. Signs and locks all charts before the day is completed.
17. Monitor performance of nurses, paramedics
18. Functions under the direct supervision of medical director
Required Education/Experience:.
1. State license as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
2. Current Advance Practice License in good standing.
3. Remain current and achieve required continuing education units.
4. Previous management experience preferred but not required.
5. Minimum of 1 year of IV administration experience. Preferably in a high volume setting.
6. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Will be required to maintain a current CPR certification during employment.

Work Environment This job operates in a health care setting. This role requires regular walking and standing throughout the facility. This role routinely interacts with patients on a daily basis.
Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active, and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping throughout the course of the shift. Must have use of hands and fingers with ability to feel, manipulate and operate medical equipment, computer equipment, and office machinery. The employee must frequently move items weighing over 40 pounds. Must be able to administer CPR.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a part time, every other weekend (Sat and Sun) position in a health care environment. Shifts will be scheduled during hours of operation (Sat and Sun 9:30am-6:30pm), allowing for some fluctuation for pre-opening and post-closing functions.
