Patient Care Associate
The Patient Care Associate provides nursing-related services to patients and functions in an assistant role to the nurse by supporting personal hygiene, and daily living needs, providing comfort and patient care.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Provides patients' hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with showers and baths.
• Assists with daily living by serving meals, feeding, ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
• Provide adjunct care by administering nonsterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz, and therapeutic baths.
• Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information.
• Provides patient comfort by transporting patients, answering call lights and requests, and reporting observations to the nurse.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation timely.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Licensure/Certification:
State Registered Nurse Aid (SRNA) or actively enrolled and have completed 1st semester of LPN or RN Nursing School
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
