JOB SUMMARY AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services, patient/family counseling and appropriate referrals as necessary to patients exhibiting a speech, language, or swallowing disorder. Assesses, plans and implements treatment programs for patients according to established principles and practices of Speech and Language Pathology. Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Master's Degree in Speech Pathology.

EXPERIENCE: Twelve (12) months experience with adult speech/language-impaired population preferred, one year clinical fellowship (CFY) candidate will be considered.

LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION: Must be either certified by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association or possess a special license during one year clinical fellowship. Qualified by education, training or experience to work with the adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patient as specialty assignment dictates.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Subject to frequent walking and standing. Transports machines to various hospital areas on a daily basis.
